Break!!
First session campers leave Wednesday morning and the second session of campes come Thursday morning. Which means the staff gets a short break to rest up and prepare for the next group of campers! This year we were blessed that the Trenton pool allowed us to go after hours and have the pool all to ourselves! After swimming, we headed back to the camp grounds for a bonfire; complete with hot dogs and smores!

Welcome!
Welcome to the Camp Rainbow blog. We are hoping to use this site to get the word out there about our one of a kind camp, as well as keeping our staff and campers informed about upcoming events.
Camp Rainbow is a camp for mentally and physically handicapped individuals. All of our staff is volunteer, and our campers only pay $15 to come to camp--which is the same price they paid when camp was founded 50 years ago! Camp is a place were these campers can come for a week and be the center of attention. Our counselors make camp completely about the campers. The campers do crafts, swim, play sports, and even dance!! Our campers and counselors look forward to camp all year! We even have campers that go home the day after camp and pack for the next year!
Stay tuned for pictures from Camp Rainbow 2009 along with information about Camp Rainbow 2010. We will be posting the Camp Rainbow 2010 theme along with camp applications as soon as they are available!
